Monstas

I was woefully enlisted to be the plastic bag monster at Coastal Cleanup Day tomorrow, on account of prior experience with unwieldy and ridiculous costumes. The costume is composed of 500 plastic shopping bags representing those used by the average American in one year.

Costume looks kinda cool, minus the fleshy pink human face. So I'ma gonna make a mask.

Here's prototype 1 cutout and 3d:

Prototype 2 cutout and 3d:

3d ones are manila lovingly taped to disc golf discs.

looks like a sabretoothed ironin' man! the design looks sweet, but i'm having practical concerns (based on my likewise experience in unwieldy and ridiculous costumes); the eye holes look a bit obscurry and the mouth opening looks like it could be subject to poor ventilation. wouldn't want to scar the poor kiddies with the monster passing out mid lap-sit

btw, i'm preferring the arched eyebrows of the 2nd prototype. the monster questions your incredulosity at the use of 500 plastic bags per person per hour!
