here are some of the pieces from my construction class this semester. this was by far my hardest class -- sewing is most certainly my least developed skill -- but on the flip-side was the class i've learned the most in. we started with a striped, collared shirt (my stripes were waaaaaaay too thin, matching them at the shoulder was hell); moved on to some trousers (awww, capris!); then the shawl-collared jacket and shift dress. somehow, these last two projects just spiraled out of my reach. the dress was the final, and you may not those little flaps at the shoulders -- apparently with all the flippings of facings i sewed up the top inch of the arm holes. *sigh*
...and a little soccer shirt sample to buck up my spirits. such a little cutie!
