nice rendering! one of the things I appreciate a lot about your comics is the completeness of the story...little details like the femme handing the wad of cash to the driver really make the scenes for me. I really hope a lot of these will make it into the black and white version and retain the "readability" of the scene. Retaining details like that while effectively focusing attention on the characters is a piece of storytelling which I have overlooked until recently. I'm a big fan of the way that you've used the perspective/background guide lines to your advantage, esp in the last panel. Nice counterpoint to the previous bg heavy panels. The figure work has a lot of good volume to it, but not as much structure. Some short limbs and slightly awkward poses (eg some of the head turns and angles). Excited to see more! :D
I really like the comp of the ass shot (vs. the sideboob), it looks like more of a natural pose, esp when you see her up against the door in the last panel, I was sad to see it got cut!
much thanks for your second comments. took me a bit to figure out which panel you were referring to (the 5th on page 2, i believe). bazooka's in the foreground right, with madame malace sitting down. i went back and poised her instead swiveling the chair frontwards as she juts out her bum to take a seat. i kept the nonchalance in her face (the "actually, i'm cantonese" expression). an improvement over the previous rendering ambiguity.
