heh heh i love how telling our respective styles are for our personalities....the easygoing vibrant palette and eye for holistic composition with playful details (whiteout, tile reflections--really well executed here btw) is so Dave.
Your eye for facial features is really improving too....must be tough with pen and at this scale!

jesus yes, the faces... it helps with the layering process i use in coloring (lots of practice at the same features), but it all really comes down to the final black inking. inking! *fist shake* i'm trying to follow your example and develop some confidence in line quality through repetition -- which is basically the guiding principle behind this month-event-thing. with school getting so crazy it's nice to have a fun little deadline to check off the list!

i also used a pretty big chiseled marker for the blacks instead of the traditional tombow, so it was fun to get some very thin lines off of the very tip and then really swoosh into some thick filling strokes like for the hair!
