very nice mel! the spirally arms work well to evoke the tangly mess of intertwined kudzu branches...and the inking! good gravy, what marvelous inking! the brush pen on the arms, and the crouched figure beneath...it adds so much depth and action to the piece. the blue hatching on the figure acts as an excellent shadow and contrasts quite well against your umber-y pencil lines.
...so, this isn't the rough draft of your intended, aforementioned painting?
