Well, it's school time again and as such I'll be hijacking the Hackablog for a semester. This post is the introduction to my "Fashion Source Book" which will feature fashionable inspirations. The class is the History of Fashion, so I imagine future posts will be heavy on the corsetry...but maybe I can sneak some menswear in there at some point.
Certainly this will be one of the last opportunities to post soccer kits: here are two of my recent favorites. The first is the French national team's jersey for the 2008-09 season made by Adidas (the final design for this partnership as the French will be switching sponsorship to Nike in time for the 2010 World Cup). The second is the 3rd kit for the club team Olympique Marseille from the 2007-08 season, also from Adidas. This shirt is absolute class -- there simply is not enough argyle in the world and even less in the footie realm. A shame.

Huzzah! Well I'm glad that at least one of us is keeping this poor blog alive, and with such lovely material to boot
Corsetry huh? Is that like the hardware of the fashion world?
As for the shirts, I really dig the structural look of colorblocked spandex involved in the jersey. These two are sweet examples of blending that structural approach with traditional textile patterns. Sweet finds for sheez.
