woah! quite a nice composition. yeah, the right side is a bit empty (the light doesn't really hold its weight), but i really like the root structures of the tree. the girl gets a little lost (as she's a bit muddled color-wise), but her perolous position on the overhang is quite sublimely enhanced both by her hanging flip-flop and also by the red flowers on the water beneath her. those flowers, for me, are the real attention grabber.
any explanations about the piece? i don't think freakazoid stayed in one place long enough to be quite so contemplative ;)

mostly I wanted to do a piece that focused on color palette and composition (my weakest points), and refrained from doing photo ref, which i get dependent on a lot
what about making the contrast of the light on the right side heavier to increase 'weight'?
Ivan suggested putting more trees in, but I don't want them to be too distracting from the foreground...
