change of scene

just finished drafting ALL the patterns for senior collection, so as a break before the massive task of sewing the samples, i started working on the 2 design projects i need to finish for my master's final review. here was the first go-around for a collection based on beauteous berlin brats!

side anecdote: my instructor came by and mentioned he had worked with 2 of the male models pictured at ralph lauren and calvin klein. nice to know people in the know!

here's the current table set-up for the fall/winter collection i'm working on now. my instructor wanted it "less techy and more classy", so trying to work with some wool tweeds, leathers, and shearing. using cured meats, urban samurais and ivan bilibin as starting points.

second collection i'm trying to design over the summer. this will be for spring/summer, so i wanted to get some cool blues and work on some textile prints to accompany. the ocean (need a surf soooooo bad) politely provided some inspiration to help.

was walking down haight after barcelona's glorious thrashing of manchester in the champions league final, when one of my color stories showed up posted on some plywood. quick! snap it!
