used a new method for sketching croquis figures: went with a sheet of vellum instead of regular bristol in an effort to make scanning cleaner. heh, also, scanned the drawings instead of relying on digital photos (the quality really suffers with my vintage 3.5 megapixel point-and-shoot). the most fun part? sketching in blue pencil! the blue doesn't scan, thus aiding the final quality and really just makes me feel all fancy!
inked the pencils in 3 waves -- 08 micron for outlines, 03 for standard lines, and 01 for topstitching
final inks. used a sweet-smelling sharpie for shadows :D
colored in photoshop and ready for printing!
and here's a new-and-improved sample of the t-shirt featured above! the final fabrics will be two different tonal reds, but i went with a yellow color story just for variety. these are two gold wick-away jerseys...the photo makes them look more brown than they really are.
