Oh you and your clean reds and whites.....love that stripe down the back of the jacket! Very aerodynamic.
Dig the patterns on the jacket too--was the nylon tough to work with? The checkered texture with a wee bit o sheen is a nice choice for sportiness and style. I'm quite partial to the nylon too--more structured than silk but with an equally smooth feel. Those WWII chemists knew that they were doing.

the gagarin jacket is fabricated in goretex, which was pretty easy to work with. terrible to pin the paper pattern pieces to (the 1/8" deep hole in my thumb will attest to that), but a dream to sew. didn't move around, and any mistakes heat-pressed back closed with an iron set on high.

but that checkered nylon for the kasparov vest was a nightmare. the process of just mounting the nylon to the fleecey bits took a whole extra day before i even got to sew them together to make the garment...yeesh

any clothing exploits for you miss mel? dragoncon's coming up and you'd look smashing in that pink oren ishii assassin suit!
