it finally all came together! the guns arrived in the mail yesterday and the costume was complete! i'm really happy with the shirt -- those mesh panels on the side are really going to help with the heat. heh, gritting those teeth and posing up a storm!oh! and i picked up those red goggles for you. that should wrap up your costume as well -- i can't wait to see you in it!

I have to say that I'm sort of sad that only a small cadre of folks will know your amazing costuming skillz...but man oh man is that accurate!
So sad news. My thesis is due in two weeks and it's going pretty really badly. These last few weeks have been spent on quite intently trying to figure out what's going on, and left me with nothing, and no time to finish the robots piece that I'd thought I'd have ample time to finish from when I saw you a few months (!) ago. Sigh.
I'll put up the most recent draft, but really I'm not happy with the perspective and the comp and a whole bunch of stuff and would hate to make it be what we'd both be turning in. I'm really sorry I know you put in a lot of work and creative soul into it...I hope we'll be able to finish once I graduate, but for now my thesis work is due in just three weeks and the underlying theme is...well it's not working out. Sigh. Trying not to let it spoil the coming weekend, but right now it's sort of weighing on me. Dah!

oh man, two weeks until your whole grad thesis is due?! i was thinking you were working on a summer school project or something...finishing your masters; i should say your time's a little tight! but perhaps you could bring your laptop and give the piece a last once-over and show it sunday. as a little artistic exercise, just flirt a little with a soft deadline and see what the results are like with the piece!
don't fret about the con mel, the weekend's far from spoiled! we've been working on an extra project or two out here: just jiving with the creative juices of the con! i'll post some pics of the inks in a bit...;p
