Aye, lad! There were indeed some Irish-day shenanigans, but not of the savannah variety...instead t'was more of the concert variety: wherein I was able to see one of my favorite *canadian* bands, the Most Serene Republic, and danced like a complete batshit maniac. In short, it was lovely!
In other news, my friend the 'con is fast approaching, and as always I'm mentally noting that I should make something this year....
...and hopefully this year something might actually come of it? At any rate, my limbs are already suffused with a euphoric verve that can only indicate the inexorable advance of my most favouritest days of the entire year. Be still my heart!

woohoo! the con frenzy is indeed picking up. i was quite delighted to discover preview night coincides with my birthday...it's going to be a whole 4 day long party extravaganza! securing membership was a little perplexing though -- wasn't a 4 day pass only $50 last year? they bumped it up to $75 AND they're not even bothering with day-of, on-site registration this year! better spread the word.
making things you say...thinking along the lines of an sexy pin-up or perchance any thoughts on packaging your scifi epic into plotable issues? it took me a little over a month to get those mini-comics done in black and white back in high school...
75? D'oh...
Last year I think it was 60-65. Wonder if I could still pull off passing as a "junior" (have yet to be called on it!)
Oh my gosh I'm so sorry I didn't even realize last year that your birthday was then! My head is duly hung in shame.
Party indeed. I am pretty set on spending what might be the entire night at the convention center or one of the hotels in the area. The con should be an amazing opportunity for you to sell your stuff too! Are you planning on staying all four days this year?
