Giving our demi-goddesses a little love, here's a first shot at my favorite sulky babe, Eris!
Gonna keep going on this one with some more deep reds in the next version
The tattoos on her shoulders are supposed to be wing-like...hopefully with more refinement they'll be more identifiable
hehe the leather-looking bikini is pretty trite...need to work on that costume too
Here's some of the medusa iterations I went through...
(1) a sort of youngish innocent looking one with the snake --> hair transition. I read that the whole snake punishment was due to her being raped in a temple of Athena by Poseidon (kind of a downer and not too fair) so I wanted to make her seem a bit younger and more tragic than usual.
(2,3) a darker ones with a closeup of the snake. I like the idea of a perspective shot that focuses on the snake details and has her in the BG
Also thinking of eventually getting this sucker painted from way back when in 2005...
and a final landscape-y thing...

man o man, these look great! i'm particularly enjoying the palettes you're using: the single, unifying hue really adds to the dramatic tension of the pieces (i'm eagerly anticipating the eris touch-up in red). and speaking of eris...she bears an uncanny resemblance to bryce's ex (although i don't think she ever sported the leather thong -- have to check with bryce on that). my only complaint? not nearly enough snakes!
